Lacrosse Links: Hitting the Slopes with Tyler Jewell

Though not Canadian, Tyler Jewell will be spending plenty of time up there this winter, as the former lacrosse player at Boston College will be heading to Vancouver as part of the US Snowboard Team for the upcoming Olympic Games.

The New England native talks to IL’s Jon Brand about his life on the slopes and his previous life as a face-off specialist on one of the final teams that BC fielded before dropping their varsity program. Check out the Podcast here.

Fallball Done: It’s just about officially NLL season, as the last fallball events rolled by in the past few days (as far as we can reckon this BYU event out in Utah is the last one we’re going to hear about. Bring on training camp!

Wings Forward Signs: Matthew Norfolk, who recently signed former Cornell star John Glynn to a representation contract, recently inked Philadelphia Wings forward David Mitchell – also a Big Red grad – to a contract as well. The native of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan tallied 11 goals and 13 assists for the Wings this past season.
