I know for a fact there are people in Colorado reading NLLInsider.com and I’m a little shocked I wasn’t tipped off about the Mammoth dance team, the Wild Bunch. These girls are all dimes, quarters, pound sterling, whatever your favorite coinage is, I don’t know how it’s taken five weeks to get one of them up as our Girl of the Week. Well, we’re bringing the Wild Bunch out firing with Kate P. out of Littleton, CO. She’s a student at CU Boulder, which further solidifies that school as the greatest educational hub on the planet.

Kate’s busy with her studies and couldn’t do a follow-up interview, but she was overheating my hard-drive and I had to get her featured. Next week’s interview will be so in-depth you’ll walk away smelling like our pick’s perfume. One thing we did learn about Kate was that she’s a Twilight fan, just like every other Girl of the Week, so my advice to all of us is to grow some fangs and invest in fashionable capes.

Insider: Kate, tell us why Colorado is awesome.

Kate: What’s not to love? Sunshine 300 days a year, beautiful mountains, CU Boulder, and the loudest house in NLL lacrosse!

Insider: What do you enjoy about the NLL?

Kate: The game is fast-paced and exciting. The fans are passionate, which makes being a part of it an incredible experience.

Insider: Do you have a favorite player?

Kate: Ilija Gajic. His tremendous talent is a great asset to the Colorado Mammoth.

Insider: What about Gajic’s game makes him special?

Kate: His determination makes him a great leader. He has a great left hand, is a great shooter, and is very vocal.

Insider: Have you ever played lacrosse yourself?

Kate: When I was eight years old, my brother cut one of his lacrosse sticks down to my size so that I could help him practice in the backyard. I wasn’t much help, but we both had fun anyways. Then in high school, I was manager of the lacrosse team. Again, I didn’t do much…but I had a great time!

Insider: What do you do outside of dancing?

Kate: I’m a full time student at CU Boulder majoring in Business. I love reading, music, watching basketball and baseball, and my guilty pleasure is shopping.

Insider: Boulder’s admission just got bumped up a notch, but it is a pretty ridiculously fun school. What’s your favorite thing about the hill top heaven?

Kate: I absolutely love the campus. It’s gorgeous. And of course, there’s always something to do. I love to shop on Pearl Street or even just walk around The Hill.

Insider: If you could have a super-power, what would it be and why?

Kate: The ability to fly! I love to travel, so that would be very convenient!

Insider: Being so high up in Boulder, couldn’t you just hang glide to Europe?

Kate: No way! As fun as that would be… doesn’t that sound a little dangerous?

Insider: Worst pick up line you ever heard?

Kate: “Date me if I’m wrong, but isn’t your name Gertrude?”

Insider: Google Image the name Gertrude and tell me how you feel.

Kate: I feel like that guy needs to get a new pick up line!

Insider: Best pick up line you ever heard?

Kate: “Hi, I’m (insert name here.)” I like when guys keep it simple.

Insider: Would a riveting name like “Max Powers” make any difference?

Kate: Maybe A strong name never hurts!

Insider: What can a guy do to get noticed?

Kate: Smile.

Insider: Favorite Book?

Kate: Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and I’m a sucker for the twilight series!

Insider: What is it about vampires that every Girl of the Week seems to love? Am I a fang away from a talking to beautiful girls without my NLLInsider name tag?

Kate: It must be the mystery. There’s something about a mysterious, handsome vampire that makes us girls want what we can’t have!

Insider: What’re your favorite flicks?

Kate: Pretty Woman, Father of the Bride, Legally Blonde, and The Holiday…Don’t make me decide!

Insider: What’s your Favorite Food?

Kate: Any kind of pasta

Insider: Favorite TV show as a kid?

Kate: Full House and The Price is Right…no doubt.

Insider: Bob Saget vs. Bob Barker; who’s top Bob? And who win’s in cage match?

Kate: Bob Barker all the way! Bob Saget would be too busy cleaning his boxing gloves.

Insider: What’s the best trip you’ve been on?

Kate: My freshman year of high school I went to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas with my mom. It was such a relaxing, beautiful environment, and the ocean life was amazing!

Insider: What’s the best date you’ve been on?

Kate: On Valentine’s day, I was surprised with an appointment for a massage, and then taken to dinner at my favorite restaurant!
