Insider has confirmed with the National Lacrosse League that the trio of players facing suspensions stemming from Week 6’s brawl between the Washington Stealth and Minnesota Swarm, those players the Stealth’s Mike Grimes and Matt Beers, and the Swarm’s Callum Crawford, will be available for NLL action this weekend again, their hearings unable to be scheduled this week after all three appealed the ruling through the PLPA late last week.
Grimes was looking at a two-game sit-down for leaving the Swarm’s bench and being the third man in during an initial scrap between Sean Pollock and Tyler Richards, while Beers and Crawford were handed a one-game suspension for leaving their respective benches as well.
Their hearings are likely set to be looked at at some point next week, although neither Washington or Minnesota see action until the NLL’s Week 10.
Although some incidents were being reviewed by the league coming out of last weekend’s action, no suspensions have been accessed to any players.
The Buffalo Bandits’ Jon Harasym, who was delivered a one game suspension for an illegal cross-check back in Week 5, was having his appeal decided on today, although as of this afternoon it was still unknown what Harasym’s status will be as the Bandits host the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday night.
