John Tavares is NLL Player of the Week

Score the overtime winner on consecutive nights and it really is a no-brainer that John Tavares of the Buffalo Bandits has been named the National Lacrosse League’s Overall and Offensive Player of the Week. JT notched the winners for Buffalo on the road, too. In Toronto on Friday and then in Boston on Saturday to finish the weekend with 7 goals, 4 assists and 15 loose balls. On the defensive end, Orlando Titans goalie Matt Vinc grabs the honor after combining for 101 saves in wins over the Philadelphia Wings and Rochester Knighthawks. He gave up just 11 goals in the 2 games. Orlando’s Jordan Hall is the Transition Player of the Week and Alex Gajic of the Colorado Mammoth is the Rookie of the Week.
