As we saw last week, things are shaping up to be quite interesting entering the playoffs. Out in BC, seedings have already been decided and play gets underway this weekend. WIth the regular season about to come to a close and playoffs soon to start up, each game plays a pivotal role in deciding the final rankings for some teams. This year each province seems to be neck and neck.

Last week’s rematch games proved to be quite interesting. Burnaby kept it close with Victoria but just didn’t seem to have enough gas in the tank; Victoria 7, Burnaby 4. Brampton and St. Kitt’s played a great one out in Ontario. Tied at five going into the third, Brampton’s Kyle Rubisch notched the eventual game winning just 11 seconds into the period; Brampton 6, St. Kitt’s 5. In Alberta, the Jr. Mounties and the Jr. Raiders also played a tight game. The Raider D locked it down in the second period to give them an 8-4 lead after two. The Mounties came storming back but couldn’t quite finish the job; Raiders 10, Mountaineers 8. This week is a big one in Ontario and BC. Two huge games, which could possibly be potential playoff matchups. In games like these, it turns into war, which is exactly what it is going to be for these teams. Check ‘em out: READ MORE »
