NLLInsider.com staff picks for Week 14 of the National Lacrosse League

Turns out Week No. 13 of the National Lacrosse League was an unlucky 13 for a few of the pickers here. A couple of 1-7 weekends shuffled the standings a bit and if it was gonna happen at any point of the season, last week was a good time for it. Why? Week 14 has a full slate of 10 tilts on tap, a setting ripe for making up some ground. So as yours truly sets out to defend his three-game lead in the overall standings with a 43-29 record, he’s looking over his shoulder as a hungry pack of cohorts tries to chase him down. NLLInsider.com staff picks for Week 13 of National Lacrosse League action

So the nightmare was really a true dream just waiting to happen. Yup, Teddy Jenner pulled a perfect weekend on us in the staff picks for Week 12 of the National Lacrosse League. He even went so far as to prop himself and ya know what? Good for him. TJ deserved it. For all the crap we give him, he’s a good sport and really loves the game, even if there were just five games last week to guess on. So the 5-0 weekend moves TJ up to fourth place overall, with Ty Pilson still holding down the overall lead as we head into Week 13. READ MORE »

NLLInsider.com staff picks for Week 12 of the National Lacrosse League

So is this where Ty Pilson pulls away? He went 3-2 last week, which isn’t exactly a sparkling weekend, but it was enough to give him a two-game lead in the overall standings. It’s the biggest lead of any leader at any point this season among the staffers for our National Lacrosse League picks. A lot can happen this weekend, though, as outside of the San Jose-Edmonton tilt, there really isn’t a consensus pick and that means there’s the potential for a bit of shifting in the standings. NLLInsider.com staff picks for Week 10 of the National Lacrosse League

After a week off, the NLLInsider.com staffers are right back at it, showing you just how to NOT pick games. Well, that’s not entirely accurate. Some of us are better at it than others and have the record to prove it. And it seems Steve Kojima has the best numbers to show he’s on top of his game so far. Dude went 6-2 in the Week 9 games to vault himself into a first-place tie with Ty Pilson. Hmmm … we’re noticing a West Coast trend here. Maybe some of us East Coast pickers will do something about that this weekend. READ MORE »

NLLInsider.com staff picks for Week 9 of the National Lacrosse League

It’s almost like no one wants to win this thing. Yours truly and Ty Pilson are tied again up at the top of the standings with 29-17 records and even though Brian Shanahan is bringing up the rear with a 23-23 record, he’s just six games out of it. The rest of the staff packs up the middle like a tight penalty-killing unit, but a 5-2 weekend for Paul Tutka was prolly the most impressive of the bunch last week. So what’s up for Week 9? Read on to find out who has what to say about what. READ MORE »
